Steve Shill and New Season

September 3rd, 2010 by Gareth

Hello

I like to start this with a bit of a dedication.

At the recent Emmys the BBC and british press declared to us all that it hadn’t been a good year for the brits. A few actors hadn’t won i think. One actress won something for something. There was one Brit that did win something for Directing and know one knows who he is, well no one in the british press and broadcasting do.

That man is Steve Shill

Any ideas?

No…. Steve Shill is one of America’s best television directors. He has directed episodes of Dexter, The Soprano’s, E.R., Deadwood, The West Wing, The Wire and many many more. He is an writer and a actor. I first knew of him from his work on IMPACT theatre , an brilliant experimental theatre company in the eighties.

I met him once in 1992 in Bath. I liked him them and I love his work. As I guess you all do, even though you might not know who he is. So Congrats from Britain for your award we are all proud of you.

NEW SEASON OF ARE YOU SITTING COMFORTABLY

Yes it is upon us again. Starting at Toynbee in Sept 16th up until December. We are at The Basement in Brighton, Ashford and Hospital in Covent Garden.

All details can be found on the Are you Sitting Comfortably Page.
